{"id":3770,"date":"2026-05-29T15:36:43","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T15:36:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paperbell.com\/support\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=3770"},"modified":"2026-08-10T22:07:52","modified_gmt":"2026-08-10T22:07:52","slug":"site-visits-report","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/paperbell.com\/support\/knowledge-base\/site-visits-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Can I tell how many visitors have checked out my Paperbell site?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;ve wondered whether anyone is  perusing your offerings, or if you&#8217;re shouting into the wind, we&#8217;ve got you covered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Look for an email report from Paperbell each week with the subject &#8220;Some activity on your site \ud83d\udcca&#8221;, in which we&#8217;ll tell you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the <strong>total number of visitors<\/strong> to your Paperbell site in the previous 7 days<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>your <strong>top 5 most-viewed packages<\/strong>, and the number of visits each received<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a heads-up about <strong>any active packages that have a problem<\/strong> preventing them from showing on your site<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s it! Simple, super-useful snapshot of how your Paperbell website and packages are performing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A couple of notes:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>By <strong>visitors,<\/strong> we mean a particular <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/IP_address\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/IP_address\">IP address<\/a> visiting your site per day; so if the same visitor (from the same computer\/network) visits several times in one day, those visits all count as 1 visitor from that day. If they visit the next day from the same computer\/network connection, it&#8217;ll count as a new visitor in your weekly tally. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you check out your site multiple times as you create it, each of those visits won&#8217;t be logged as a unique hit &#8212; it&#8217;ll just count as 1 of your visitors that day. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If your site didn&#8217;t receive any visitors in the 7 days leading up to the report date, you won&#8217;t receive an email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The number of visitors\u00a0<em>does<\/em> include your own activity (though again, it&#8217;ll be 1 visitor counted for all the visits you make on a particular day). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visitor report FAQs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can I find out who these visitors are?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No &#8211; sorry! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Does the number of visitors include my own?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes! The number of visits in our email report includes your own activity (though for each day, you&#8217;d only ever count as 1 visitor, even if you check things out multiple times).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;re concerned about skewing numbers, check out your site via <a href=\"https:\/\/paperbell.com\/support\/knowledge-base\/all-about-your-website\/\">the Website Editor<\/a> instead. The editor provides a live preview of your homepage and package landing pages without affecting your visitor count.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can I set up more advanced tracking or find out other kinds of metrics?<\/h3>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not at the moment, but we&#8217;re open to suggestions. Thanks!<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can I run these reports myself?<\/h3>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No. Please keep an eye out for our weekly email report. \ud83d\udc40<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What kind of warnings will I get about my active packages?<\/h3>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;ll let you know about any issues that are preventing any packages set to an &#8220;active&#8221; status from showing on your website.
