Zapier (Product Update, January 2021)

This is an archived product update, and may not contain the most up-to-date information.

Another week of new Paperbell hotness, all requested by YOU.

The first one is some VERY exciting news for all of my zapier ninjas out there. We now feed ALL OF YOUR DATA into Zapier. I’m talking appointment timestamps, purchase names, client time zones, ev-er-y thing.

So if you’re someone who zaps, you can now do some REALLY cool things with Paperbell. Things like creating complex email automations triggered by appointment times, or updating an airtable database or CRM with all of your Paperbell client info. You could even use it to trigger a task in your to-do app when someone books a free discovery session with you.

Here’s our updated help page with all of the details.

Next big update: you’re the boss.

OK, you already knew that! But now you’re also the boss of your Paperbell checkout flow.

You can decide if you want your clients to see the booking calendar first, or payment first. (Note that if you choose payment first and you have a contract, your clients will encounter the contract first to ensure it’s signed before they can complete their purchase.)

This change means there’s now a workaround for disabling scheduling on certain packages, here are the details. (Please note that this is a workaround, and it may be confusing to your clients as they will see a booking calendar with no availability. Make sure to explain to them that you’ll be handling appointment scheduling.)

And we’ll cap this one off with a little update that makes your life a lot easier – we now apply your appointment gaps before and after the events synced from google calendar as well. (Before it only applied to appointments created in Paperbell.)

As you can see, you also have the ability to disable this option if it doesn’t work for you.
