Tier 2: under $200
The Life Coach Training Institute charges $195 for its full certification course: 30 hours of training, self-paced. At the same price, they also sell a course branded “1-Day Life Coach Certification,” though it’s actually delivered as seven SIMULIVE Saturday sessions plus weekly Tuesday live training, not a single day. It’s accredited by ICOES (the International Council for Online Educational Standards) and says Forbes Health rated it 9.4 out of 10. Tier 3: accredited programs
Here’s the annoying answer: most won’t tell you, though Coach U is an exception. Coach U publishes its tuition: Phase 1 Core Essentials is $6,395 ($5,995 early bird if you enroll at least 45 days before the program starts), and Phase 2 Professional Essentials is the same $6,395 ($5,995 early bird), so both phases together run roughly $12,790. We checked Animas’s accredited diploma page in September 2026, and it doesn’t publish tuition. You book a call or request a fee schedule instead.
So treat any figure quoted secondhand as a guess, including in other blog posts. Ask the school for the total (tuition, exam fees, mentor coaching, renewals), and ask whether it’s actually ICF-accredited or only “aligned with” ICF competencies. Only one of those counts toward your hours.
